The Move Begins!
Getting Prepared at 1509 Chicago Ave
After months of work, we found a beautiful new space to keep sharing fair trade goodness in Evanston at 1509 Chicago Ave! It's a lovely two room shop with character and lots of window space! Only 6 blocks North (just past Grove St) of our current location, the former home of Vinic Wine Shop seemed like a perfect fit for us.
With the lease signed in December, we got to work on all the plans to create an amazing new chapter for Ten Thousand Villages Evanston.
It Definitely Takes a Village
We are in the process of freshening the space up with paint and plaster, a floor refinish (while keeping that stunning red brick tile) and building out an easy access fitting room.
We have so many amazing board members and volunteers behind the scenes --- helping keep our store going, grant writing, moving fixtures, building checkout counters and so much more!
